Bénévoles et cuisinière / Volunteers and cook


A service of frozen meals is available at the Centre d’action bénévole St-Siméon/Port-Daniel. It’s for elders 65 years older with loss of autonomy, people who are sick or handicapped living at home, because everyone need varied and balanced nourishment. This service will complement the existing Meals on Wheels. Frozen meals are offer throughout the year and will fill a gap for the other days of the week when there are no Meals on Wheels delivery.

A small team of volunteer cooks under the supervision of cook Tammy Chatterton and prepare a hundred meals every Tuesday in the High School of New Carlisle kitchen.

The menu offer ten different meals and three differents soups. Volunteers offer delivery service twice a month, it's 4,00$ each meals deliver and 1,50$ each soups.

People can come and pick up their frozen meals and soups at the Centre d'Action Bénvole when they call 24 hours in advance, it's 3,50$ each meals when you pick up at the Centre d'Action Bénévole and 1,50$ each soups. A minimum of five meals is required to place an order.
